There are two different catagories of members:

“Active Guild” Members who are volunteering a minimum of 1-2 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year to contribute to the charity in their area. They post a thread in our Open
Forum and update it every 2 months to describe their progress. They also provide a headshot for promotional purposes.

Here is a list of our Active Guild Members categories you can sign up for below:

• The Guild of Active Silver Knight Chess Coaches who teach chess to adults in
  your area.
• The Guild of Active Silver Squire Chess Players who play chess with adults in
  your area.
• The Guild of Active Silver Page Charity Promoters who promote the charity in
  your area.
• The Guild of Active Noble Heros who make a monthly donation to help
  us grow.
• Other Active Positions (If you wish to serve this charity that is not listed above youmay e-mail us at thesilverknights@cox.net and describe how you would like to actively help save lives.)

  or “Non-Volunteer” Members who wish to use the website to communicate with others like themselves and have no volunteer obligations or Open Forum responsibilities but may if they wish volunteer or donate from time to time.

• The Chess Coaches- this is any chess coach who does not want to become a Silver Knight but does or has in the past taught chess to either children or adults or both.
• The Chess Students- This is any chess student who wishes to communicate with other chess students or
  chess coaches.
• The Caregivers- These are people who are presently or have in the past been a caregiver for the elderly, sick, or those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
• One Month Temperary Inactive Position- If you want to volunteer but need time to examine the different options we are happy to give you 1 month to read the application forms and ask questions before joining an Active Guild.
